What is DIY Peer-to-Peer fundraising?
DIY - Do It Yourself - fundraising is a form of peer-to-peer fundraising where you decide what type of fundraising activity you want to engage your friends and family. You share your story and your personal fundraising page with your friends and family to raise funds for a hospital or program that is meaningful to you.

How do I make a gift in support of a fundraiser?
The easiest way to make a gift is online via the fundraiser’s personal page. Did you receive an email with a link to fundraising page? Simply click donate on that page to make a gift in support of their efforts. Or you can search for a fundraiser or team by name.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes, you will receive an email confirmation of your gift that also has a PDF file attached of your tax receipt. Please keep a copy of the email and tax receipt for your records as you will not receive another receipt in the mail.

Can I donate by check?
Yes, please make your check payable to Food Bank for Larimer County and mail it to 5706 Wright Dr., Loveland, CO 80538. Make sure to let us know whose fundraiser you are supporting in the memo line.

Do you accept corporate matching gifts?
Yes, please check with your company’s human resource department to verify if they offer this for health care organizations and to obtain the matching gift form to complete. If you made your gift online, please include a copy of your gift receipt when you submit the completed matching gift form to Food Bank for Larimer County.

I would like to hold a fundraiser. How do I get started?
Great! You will need to start a fundraiser by selecting what type of fundraiser you would like to do.

What type of fundraising activities can I do through the DIY program?
We have four categories of fundraisers:

  • Create Your Own
  • Athletic Event
  • Special Occasions
  • Memorial

How do I set up my personal page?
First, log in to your Participant Center. Select the personal page tab. In addition to adding your name and a photo, we recommend that you add a personal message to share why you are fundraising for the Food Bank for Larimer County.

How do I personalize my fundraising page?
Log in to your Participant Center.

I want to add a photo to my page, how should I format it?
Image files should be either gif, jpg or png. The maximum file size is 4 MB.

How do I remove my fundraising page?
Please contact us at info@foodbanklarimer.org and we would be happy to assist you.

I need help fixing my fundraising page. Who can I contact?

I want to send emails to my friends and family to share my fundraising page. How can I do that?
It’s easy! Log in into your Participant Center to send an email after updating the email template we have provided. Share your story in the email to make it more impactful and send to your friends and family. A link to your personal fundraising page will be included in the email.

What happens if I don’t meet my fundraising goal?
The fundraising goal is a target goal that you set. Meeting or exceeding your fundraising goal is cause for celebration. There is not a penalty if you do not meet your goal.

Can I post information on Social Media about my fundraising efforts?
Yes! Make sure to share a link to your personal fundraising page.

Is there a fee for creating a fundraiser and a personal page?
No, there is not a required registration fee for creating a fundraiser, but you may wish to make a personal donation to start your efforts.

How can I check my personal fundraising totals?
You can log in to your Participant Center to check on the progress of your fundraising efforts. Online donations are automatically processed and added to your fundraising total. You can also thank your supporters and send them an update on your efforts while logged in.

How can I thank my supporters?
It’s easy! Log in to your Participant Center and send an email to your supports. We have provided a template with a message to get you started. Personalize the message to make it more impactful and send it right from your Participant Center.
